Kirk Welch

Senior Pastor

Kirk grew up as a pastor's kid, living in Michigan, Oklahoma, and North Carolina. While attending VBS as an 8-year-old, God opened his heart and mind to the gospel and saved him. Before coming to Cornerstone, Kirk served as Youth Pastor at First Baptist Church in Auburn, California (1994-1999), and then as Associate Pastor at Grace Community Church of Saddleback Valley, California (1999-2004). He has a B.A. in Bible Exposition from The Master's University (1994) and a M.Div. from Talbot School of Theology (2003). Kirk's passions include dating his wife, Corrie; raising and coaching his five sons: Jonah (married to Abby), Caleb (married to Ami), Benjamin, Josiah, and Titus; preaching and discipling; and spending time with people. He is a sports guy who enjoys basketball, baseball, and golf. His favorite TV show is The Andy Griffith Show, and his favorite team is the North Carolina Tar Heels.
