Early childhood should be a time of warmth, fun, learning and discovery. Young children are creative and receptive. Cornerstone Preschool encourages these qualities in all children who attend. We promote an atmosphere that fosters social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual growth.
Vision
The vision of Cornerstone Preschool is to pursue excellence in education, where all children are accepted and given the tools to enjoy learning for a lifetime. Planned within the framework of this philosophy, our curriculum includes weekly themes, letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and Bible stories. Our curriculum is consistent with the highest levels of early childhood education and is enhanced with art, music, drama, and opportunities to learn through guided play.
Offerings
Preschool Classes
Cornerstone Preschool offers a well-balanced enrichment experience for three, four and five year old children. We encourage emotional, social, intellectual, physical and spiritual growth through age appropriate curriculum with individual and group activities. Curriculum is divided into weekly thematic units including Bible stories and academic components. These cornerstones are supplemented with art, music, and learning centers. Preschool classes offer options of 2, 3, or 4 day classes from 9:30am to 12:30pm for children 2, 3, and 4 years of age by August 1st.
Mom’s Day Out
Cornerstone Preschool recognizes the value of providing parents a brief respite, as well as providing young children with a carefully planned group socialization experience. Mom’s Day Out, like our Preschool classes, offers a curriculum designed around a weekly theme which includes Bible stories, music, art, motor development and guided play. Mom’s Day Out is a one. two, or three day class offered on your choice of day, Monday through Friday mornings from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm for children 2 years of age by August 1st or after.
5+ Program
Cornerstone Preschool 5+ program is taught by a licensed kindergarten teacher and offers a kindergarten curriculum with individualized attention and a half-day schedule. This class balances academic and social development in a caring Christian atmosphere and is a great option for 5 year olds that just are not quite ready for the rigors of full-day school. The hours for this class are 9:30am to 1:30pm Monday through Thursday.
